Basis of the Research Lines

FGU RESEARCH CENTER consists of 4 research units, which group 13 matrix lines that derive the respective potential lines. In this sense, the FUNDAMENTATION OF THE RESEARCH LINES that make up each unit is presented below:

RESEARCH UNIT IN ADMINISTRATIVE AND MANAGERIAL SCIENCES

Is a unit oriented to the development and strengthening of the conceptual and practical theoretical approaches of administrative and managerial sciences. Focusing research efforts to provide solutions to business projects applied to different organizations. The following lines of research are assigned to this unit:

Management and Leadership

They constitute two essential elements for managing any type of organization, regardless of its nature and classification, since they can be combined to achieve a common goal. Therefore, developing research in this area is vital because of the number of initiatives, as well as solutions that can be provided to personal and business problems.

Finance and Marketing

The research field in the area of finance and marketing has become one of the most consolidated because it needs to be kept up to date, as well as to innovate in creative proposals to offer solutions to the various problems and contextual changes. Therefore, it is important to generate new research in the area, as well as in the articulation between both categories, determining their impact on organizations.

Public Policies

Research in this specific area is a starting point to offer projects where actions are developed that can have an impact on fundamental transformations at the level of public organizations. Therefore, research proposals on public morals and ethics, responsibilities, costs, accountability, citizen participation and mobilization, government management, governance and efficiency, are necessary in each of the national, state or local instances.

Violence, Gender and Business

This line is considered of vital importance because it allows to offer innovative research proposals in the development of diverse paradigmatic approaches, through which preventive strategies can be developed to combat violence in all its manifestations, especially in business organizations. Likewise, some topics related to the current state and perspectives of violence against women can be worked on, in addition to the labor impact of this type of situations.

SUSTAINABILITY RESEARCH UNIT

The development of research activities on the various topics that make up sustainability as the central axis of the unit, is essential to promote the implementation of projects that contribute to provide effective solutions to various issues raised in the organizational field. The following lines of research are assigned to this unit:

Circular economy

Starting from the premise that the circular economy is based on the effective functioning of existing circular devices, such as reuse, repair, product life extension, restoration or recycling, it is considered necessary to frame research proposals that involve innovative processes in an area of vital importance.

Solidarity economy

Considering that it is a very particular way of operational structure of economic activities in a given context, besides being characterized by self-management, this topic offers the opportunity to promote specialized research on the subject, which can contribute to solve problems and innovations in organizational processes. Likewise, it is possible to promote the development of alternative models of sustainable socioeconomic projects.

Sustainable strategies

This line is focused on developing different actions that make it possible to contribute economic, environmental and social value to organizations. In this sense, projects in which environmental sustainability is integrated with business strategies can be encouraged in order to achieve competitive advantages.

CORPORATE FAMILY RESPONSIBILITY UNIT

Corporate family responsibility is based on three basic indicators for managing research processes: The organizational culture, the policies and the support of the person in charge of managing the processes, which have an impact on whether or not the person can maneuver his family life to complement it with work and personal life. Precisely, these premises support the content of corporate family responsibility, sustaining that business organizations, apart from founding economic value, need to develop trust and commitment among those who make up the organization.

Therefore, developing research in this area is attractive for those interested in generating innovative solutions through projects applied to a particular context. The following lines of research are assigned to this unit:

Humanistic perspective of the company

This line promotes the development of projects focused on the generation of applied solutions, analyzing integral representations on thinking about international business and its articulation with business practice in order to address various challenges facing humanity.

Balance between work and family and personal life

Developing research along these lines, besides being interesting, is essential for those who need to coordinate the different areas of life, especially the personal, family and work aspects, as well as for those around them.

Leadership

The purpose of this line of research is to examine the elements that make up the implementation of leadership within organizations, as well as in the people and groups where they develop in their daily actions. From this perspective, the projects that can be implemented can be directed to the analysis of the interactions between the organization and the behavior of people as part of a group or individually.

UNIT OF SOCIAL AND CULTURAL STUDIES IN EDUCATION

Focusing its research efforts on the analysis of the area of social and cultural studies in education, this unit addresses aspects inherent to the respective topics, starting from the development of innovative projects of interest related to educational organizations. The following lines of research are assigned to this unit:

Educational policy, social subjects, management and institutional development

This line makes it possible to promote innovation in each of the projects that can be promoted, to respond to evidenced problems or to generate new theories in the educational area, starting from the actors of the process and their contribution to institutional development.

Curriculum, pedagogical innovation and training

Based on didactic techniques aimed at optimizing the training of students and facilitators, in addition to pedagogical contributions, this line promotes the development of projects focused on institutional contexts, subjects involved in education, technologies and the subjectivity of the actors involved in the training processes.

Diagnosis, evaluation and educational planning:

Educational research can be strengthened through the execution of a diagnosis, which if carried out in a timely manner, detects the needs, problems, as well as the levels of educational performance in the different training processes, articulating them with innovation and quality management actions in the institutional environments.

Education 4.0

This line focuses on developing specific competencies in students. This is based on the fact that multiple investigations coincide in affirming that the new world scenario in education requires innovative forms, as well as skills, not only of a technical and methodological nature, but also participative and personal. Therefore, the development of projects in the area is essential to respond to the approaches that have arisen in the educational field.
